Opening a Treatment Room

Most first-time buyers over-buy on machines and under-buy on spares. A room with three devices and no spare handpiece loses more revenue in one busy month than the handpiece costs. These three packages are the configurations we would fit ourselves, with the numbers attached.

Package 1 — The single-service room

One diode laser, one treatment couch's worth of consumables, and the PPE the room legally needs. This is the configuration for a salon adding hair removal or a therapist going independent. It pays back on one treatment line and does not pretend otherwise.

ItemWhy it is in the package
808nm diode laser (LW-DL-808)The volume treatment; 10M shots
Spare handpieceThe part that fails; a machine waiting on one earns nothing
4 pairs laser eyewearOperator, client, door, spare
2 × 5L conductive gelNeeded from day one, sold out mid-week otherwise

Package 2 — The two-service room

A laser plus an RF platform. Hair removal pays the rent; RF adds a course-based treatment with a higher price per session and better client retention. This is where most Med-Spas start, because one treatment line rarely justifies a full-time room.

ItemWhy it is in the package
808nm or triple-wavelength diode laserChoose triple if your clientele is mixed
RF + vacuum body systemCourse-sold, no downtime, high retention
Spare handpiece + RF membrane kitBoth are consumables
Eyewear, gel, treatment consumablesThe room is not legal without them

Package 3 — The clinical room

Fractional RF for scarring and laxity, triple-wavelength laser for the widest skin-type range, and the consumable inventory to run both at volume. This is a clinic that employs or contracts a clinician and markets outcomes rather than comfort.

ItemWhy it is in the package
4D fractional RF + 100 treatment tipsTips are per-client consumables at US$18–35
Triple-wavelength diode laserFitzpatrick I–VI without referrals out
Spare handpiece, eyewear, two gel packsRedundancy is the point of a clinical room
Operator training and protocol packThe difference between a device and a service

What the packages do not include

  • Import duty and VAT — budget 5–25% of the goods value depending on market.
  • Device registration in your jurisdiction — US$1,500–8,000 and 1–6 months.
  • Room build: electrical circuits, extraction if required, couch, cabinetry.
  • Insurance and clinical oversight where local law requires it.

Questions buyers ask about this

Which package should a first-time buyer choose?

Package 1 or 2, almost always. Package 3 only makes sense if you already employ a clinician and have a client list that books courses rather than single sessions. Buying three machines to fill an empty diary is the most common expensive mistake in this market.

Can I buy the packages in stages?

Yes, and we would encourage it: laser first, add RF at month three or six when the cash flow supports it, and add a spare handpiece with the first order rather than after the first failure.

Do you install the equipment?

We provide installation guidance, a video walkthrough and a live session. On-site installation is available on orders above US$30,000 in most markets, priced at travel cost. The physical install is usually a two-hour job for an electrician and one operator.

What is the total budget for a first room, all in?

Package 1 lands around US$5,000–6,500 ex-works; with freight, duty and registration, budget US$7,000–9,000 to be operational. Package 2 runs US$9,000–12,000 ex-works, and Package 3 US$14,000–18,000.
